Our Therapists
Mikayla Kartchner (LCSW)
Hi! My name is Mik and I am passionate about helping my clients recover from disordered eating, anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma.
For over 2 years, I served as a therapist at Center for Change where I specialized in eating disorder treatment. It has been an honor to support my clients in developing a better relationship with food and their bodies.
I bring lived experience to navigating the complexities of mental health recovery and I understand the importance of finding spaces that are supportive and affirming. I value providing weight-inclusive and LGBTQ+ affirming care.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches including EMDR, DBT, ACT, and parts work.

I have roughly 20 years experience working with individuals, families, and children (age 10+). I have expertise in assisting clients navigate life’s difficulties. I find joy in accompanying those I work with on their mental health journey. I can appreciate the difficulty and struggles of mental health issues, chronic issues, or constant pain. I aim to bring peace to your life and develop skills to maintain emotional management.
By creating a relationship of trust and understanding, we can work through issues and situations you are encountering. I work with evidence-based practices such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused to help treat the individual.

I feel fortunate to have a career in a helping profession. I understand how stress from life events, relationships, or intrusive thinking patterns can take their toll and create an intense struggle in one’s life. I am honored and committed to facilitate hope, and provide the most effective counseling possible. I’m a strong believer that a good therapeutic relationship is key to client progress. Effective therapy requires a team-oriented approach, placing emphasis on the clients agenda. I live by an open-minded/non-judgmental philosophy based on equality, diversity, kindness, and trust.

Do you struggle with self-acceptance and being able to stay present in the moment? Are past experiences robbing you from finding joy in the now? Well, you are not alone and I would love to help. Hello, I’m Hollis! I believe we all have needed to be reminded that we are greater than our worst moments. In the words of Marianne Williamson: “It takes courage… to endure the sharp pains of self discovery rather than choose to take the dull pain of unconsciousness that would last the rest of our lives.”
If shame is preventing you from living the life you want, I would be honored to support you in moving away from the pain of the past. I have experience helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, coping with addictions, navigating life’s transitions, and building self-esteem. I work with clients of all ages. I am LGBTQ+ allied and have supported many clients seeking gender affirming care. Please reach out for a consultation. I would love to hear from you.

Eric Stander (LCSW)
I came to Woodhaven with a wealth of life experience in both the arts and human services. I was a professional musician for many years. Later, I went back to school to pursue my interests in serving some of the most vulnerable populations including the aging and chronically ill. This pursuit led me to gain valuable experience working in a variety of different human service and social work settings, and to receive Master’s degrees in both Gerontology and Social Work. I feel that my passion was most clearly revealed to me during my time spent working with cancer patients and their caregivers.
I specialize in working with adults facing health and aging concerns, specifically chronic symptom (pain) management, caregiver support, and grief counseling. I both appreciate and deeply understand the complex rigors of aging and managing chronic illness. I am committed to walking this path with you as you develop the capacity to meet these challenges. I believe we can partner in our work together in helping you develop the capacities you need to manage life’s joys and difficulties, and build a more purposeful and meaningful life.
Corinna Fitzwater (CMHC)
As a person-centered therapist, I provide a space that invites thoughtful exploration of your emotions, patterns, and concerns. I believe that everyone is doing the best they can, with the skills they have at hand. We will explore new skills to manage life’s difficulties and tackle the issues that are keeping you stuck. Everyone deserves a safe place to heal, and I would be honored to by a part of your journey.
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma responses, and Bipolar Disorder. Using a compassionate approach, alongside evidence-based interventions, I have witnessed individuals develop greater insight and create meaningful changes in their lives. Your past experiences do not have to define your future experience.
I value a collaborative approach to therapy. Together, our goal will be to help you overcome difficulties to become your most authentic self. Everyone’s path is different, but you do not have to pave it alone.
Robyn Tate (LCSW)
I provide compassionate psychotherapy for all ages and backgrounds. I believe in treating the “whole” person in the context of their world in a way that suits and respects them as a unique and evolving individual. I regard all of my clients as humans first, with strengths and weaknesses and admire anyone who is striving to improve themselves. You know yourself better than anyone and I would be honored to assist you in making the path you choose. The smallest step in the right direction may be the biggest step in your life.
I am an experienced trauma informed therapist, trained in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), and love working with patients to feel better. I enjoy helping individuals improve their relationships with their partners/children. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches because the human mind is so limitless, I believe the care of it should be as well.
I am passionate about mental health and its influence on the quality of our lives and the lives of those around us. My humanistic approach to all mental health concerns is a combination of art and science. I would love to assist you in discovering and building upon your own strengths to face life’s challenges. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming
